The value-driven Esprit Spirit ET-6 folding treadmill is the best of the Esprit ET line-up in terms of delivering quality at a reasonable price. With features like a 15-degree incline, in-handle controls, and advanced deck cushioning, the ET-6 is a basic training machine without unnecessary add-ons.
The blue backlit LED display shows readouts for speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories. The Spirit ET-6 folding treadmill features quick controls on the handrails for changing speed and incline while you run or walk. The pre-set programs include two heart-rate control workouts that work with either the hand grip sensors or an optional telemetry chest strap.

The Spirit ET-6 folding treadmill features a number of quality components including 2.5-inch rear rollers, a 1-inch pre-waxed phenolic deck, variable durometer elastomer cushioning, a 2-ply textured duraweave belt, 2.5 HP continuous duty motor, and an incline motor with a 1,000-pound thrust rate.
Other features are a roomy 20" x 55" running surface, commercial grade steel frame, and a “Soft Drop” folding mechanism to smoothly lower the deck from its vertical storage position.
The deck is pre-lubricated at the factory and will not need to be lubrication during the first 180 hours of use. There is an automatic reminder light on the console that will alert you when it is time to lubricate the deck (a tube of lubricant is supplied with the ET-6).
The Spirit ET-6 folding treadmill sold for $1,499 when it was new in 2007, and can still be found for about $1,249 while supplies last. The ET-6 is a re-painted and re-branded version of the Spirit Z100 treadmill, which is a basic runner’s model that didn’t bother with the frills.
Reviews on the ET-6 are favorable and many treadmill equipment pros point out that this is the best value of the five Esprit ETs.
Since it will soon be discontinued, we suggest you go with another Dyaco product, the $1,299 Sole F65 folding treadmill that has specs identical to the Spirit ET-6 but has an updated motor and flywheel design, and other extras not included with on ET-6.
