The Image 19.0R treadmill might not be the first model that comes to mind when shopping for a new treadmill, but it should be. Because Image treadmills aren’t the first choice for most at-home exercisers, Icon Fitness is making sure that their lower end treadmills are a great value for their low prices – and the Image 19.0R is an excellent example of this.
With a motor that’s backed up with a ten year warranty, it’s no surprise that the Image 19.0R treadmill has a motor that will probably last a long time. There are a lot of fun extras like the fan and the eight workout programs that will help you keep your training program interesting. And for only $799 ($549 on sale), it’s surprising just how many features have been put into this model in the Image treadmills line:
The longer motor warranty makes the Image 19.0R a great deal, but when you add in the fun gadgets like the progress monitor and the step counter, it seems like this treadmill is a good choice.
UPDATE: Due to its lack of popularity, ICON Fitness is no longer making Image treadmills. Take a look at NordicTrack, the company's most popular brand, for similar treadmills.
What concerns most experts about the Image 19.0R is that the short parts and labor warranty might be a sign of trouble. Users say that you can expect to spend some money on minor repairs over the lifetime of an Image treadmill.
Users like the cushioning of the running deck. And the gadgets provide plenty of motivation during longer workouts and harder intensities.
As a lesser known treadmill brand, Icon Fitness is trying everything they can to entice exercisers to try their models out. Because of the low price and the 10-year motor warranty, the Image 19.0R is a great value for the features it includes.
Just consider the repairs you’ll have to pay for once the short warranty has expired.
But for the money, the Image 19.0R treadmill is a great starter model, even if you do need a few repairs during the lifetime of this machine.
UPDATE: Winter Treadmill Sales are still going strong!
