The Buzz

The Yowza Osprey Transformer treadmill features solid components in a new kind of folding frame. Starting with a 20" x 52" running belt, the Osprey delivers a top speed of 11 mph, and an incline grade up to 12 degrees.

It is powered by a cool-running 2.75 hp continuous duty motor (slightly more powerful than the entry level Lido model) with a precision-balanced flywheel. Other components are a set of crowned rollers with sealed bearings and a long-lasting reversible 1" thick deck that is maintenance-free.

The Yowza Osprey’s progressive shock absorption and floating deck system includes multi-durometer elastomer rings under the platform that cushion your footfalls at the front of the deck, and provide a firmer push-off point at the rear. It delivers the right amount of flex based on your bodyweight and speed.

Other features include a Polar™ wireless chest transmitter to use with the Heart Rate Control programs, hi-fidelity speakers, an MP3 plug-in jack, cup holders, handrail pulse grips, and a 300-lb max user weight capacity.

One thing it is missing is the Intelligent Weight Management (IWM) system with the free scale like the Lido as well as the up-level Sebring model have.  We're not sure why they left that off this model, as it is a nice feature to have.
