The Premier 1300 is the up-level model in ProForm's newest treadmill series, built with the latest fitness technology and enough features to keep you motivated and excited to work out.
The Premier 1300 gives you a 10" full color touch screen that is web-enabled, so you can go online and surf the web, watch movies or check your social pages while you work out. You can also see your workout feedback clearly, including time, distance, calories, incline, heart rate and speed.
Let's take a look at some of the specs...
UPDATE: The Premier Series is so longer available, replaced by all new ProForm treadmills for the latest model year. Check out the latest reviews here.
The Premier Series is the newest category from ProForm, and bridges the gap between the entry level Sport Series and the higher end Pro Series. It offers technology and features found in more expensive treadmills, yet keep the price affordable...which is really great for all of us.
Along with the 1300, there is one other model, the Premier 900 treadmill, which is the base model in the series. Both treadmills give you a lot for your money.
For starters, the 1300 gives you a large, 10" color touch screen with internet capability. That alone is usually reserved for treadmills over $1500 and even then you won't find it too often.
You also get iFit, which allows you to choose a location anywhere in the world and actually see it unfold in front of you via Google maps. Plus the machine automatically adjusts its own incline to match the terrain that you select.
iFit also gives you additional personal trainer designed workout programs, on top of the 34 that are already built into the machine, plus tracking and sharing capabilities to keep you motivated.
Another great aspect of the Premier 1300 is the powerful motor. You get a 3.5 CHP commercial motor, which you rarely find on a sub-$1500 treadmill. It's strong and smooth, and backed by a lifetime warranty which is a testament to its durability.
The running surface is also large, at 20" x 60" and the ProShox cushioning takes aways a lot of the impact. You get up to 12% incline for targeting different muscle groups and can go up to 12 mph.
Both Premier models are easy to fold and store with Space Saver design. They are also Bluetooth compatible so if you have a wireless heart rate monitor it will sync with the machine.
Other nice touches include iPod compatibility for your music, an adjustable workout fan and an adjustable tablet holder.
All in all, Premier 1300 reviews have been positive thus far, and both models in the series seem to be very well received.
The Premier Series is a welcome addition to the ProForm treadmill lineup, as now you can get many of the features of the up-level Pro Series at just a couple of hundred dollars more than the entry level Sport Series.
The 1300 is only $1,299...the 900 is only $999, so you can;t go wrong with either model.
Between the two, we would definitely opt for the Premier 1300 simply because it has a lot more features for only $300 more. You get a more powerful motor, a larger touch screen, a larger running belt, more workouts, a higher weight capacity and a better warranty.
It would be worth the additional price for the touch screen alone, so if you can swing it we'd say go with the 1300.
For now it looks like the Premier Series might become the most popular due to what it has to offer at the price. The Pro series will give you stronger motors and decline capability, so those are better for more serious runners. Everyone else would be perfectly suited with the Premier 900 or 1300.
