The Healthrider H75t Treadmill – Affordable, Basic Model

The Buzz

UPDATE: The H75t model is no longer available.  You can check out all of the new treadmills for sale at the Healthrider online store for special deals.

Packed with features, the Healthrider H75t treadmill offers a broad selection of programs for weight loss and cardio fitness, as well as the optional iFit® workout technology, which allows the user to download new programs from the internet including programs designed by pro trainer Jillian Michaels from The Biggest Loser.

The music plug-in port for an MP3 audio player helps to keep you entertained while exercising. The decent size 2.5 CHP motor, a big 325 pound user capacity, plus a power incline control, make the Healthrider H75t one of the better designed and better built treadmills that sells for $799.

Treadmill reviews are generally positive on the Healthrider H75t with the usual cons – for example, the calorie burn readout is not accurate since there is no feature on the console to allow for the input of your weight and age. Also, the heart rate sensor tends to be off, but most treadmills priced under $1000 do not have the type of high quality monitoring components found in more expensive models.

But these are minor points. For what you get for the low price, the Healthrider H75t offers so much value that it makes up for the bad customer service (and the other small issues) that come with the purchase of almost any budget Icon Fitness product.

What We Say

This H75t is rather plain and sparse; it is our least favorite of the 2010 treadmill line from Healthrider. It doesn’t have that “wow” factor that the slightly more expensive models have – such as the H95t at $999.

However, for features and a hefty 2.5 CHP motor, it is one of the top ten treadmills for under $800. For your comparison shopping purposes, see how the Healthrider H75t treadmill rates in terms of the specs and warranty with another brand model made by Icon Fitness, the Nordictrack A2550 Pro treadmill.

These two treadmills are Icon’s best efforts at the $799 price.
