I try not to touch the area that takes your heart rate because it is so inaccurate and all over the place...it scares me sometimes. I know my heart rate isn't 170, especially when I am just starting my workout. Even though you know it isn't really going that fast, it scares you. Besides why pay for a feature that doesn't work? It isn't like you can just bring it back to the store. It either says it's too slow...not very often...usually it says too fast. I wanted that feature on the treadmill I was purchasing and I am sure I was charged for that little feature, so why isn't it accurate? I don't have any other complaints about the treadmill other than that. If that is one of the features you want and the difference between buying a more expensive treadmill, versus buying a cheaper one without the feature, save yourself some money. They don't work! It would be nice if they did, but they don't.
