The Image Advanced 1400 Treadmill Keeps Your Workouts Interesting

While you might not be familiar with the Image Advanced name, the Image Advanced 1400 treadmill is certainly one to consider.

The Machine

Image treadmills might not get the name recognition as other treadmill brands, but that doesn’t mean the Image Advanced 1400 model doesn’t come with some great features:

Image Advanced 1400 Treadmill
  • 2.25 CHP commercial motor
  • 0% to 10% power incline
  • 0-10 mph maximum speed
  • 300 lb. user capacity
  • AirShox™ impact reducing cushioning
  • 19" x 55" Quiet Treadbelt
  • iFIT® compatibility
  • EasyDrop Shock
  • Motivational RaceTrack™
  • Dual-grip heart rate monitor
  • ClearView™ backlit display
  • 10 built-in workouts
  • Cooling fan
  • 12-year motor warranty; 90-day parts and labor warranty

The Buzz

Exercise fanatics agree – the Image Advanced 1400 treadmill does come with a lot of bells and whistles. From the commercial quality motor to the impact reducing cushioning system and the treadbelt design, treadmill enthusiasts from beginners to pros appreciate the comfortable feel of the Image Advanced 1400. The quiet movements of this treadmill are perfect for the early morning riser or for someone who just wants to hear the music in their headphones.

However, experts are not as convinced that Image treadmills are made to last. While the treadmill motor is covered by a 12-year warranty, it seems that testers and reviewers find the parts to be less than high quality, a suspicion which is reflected in ICON’s 90-day parts warranty. And this could end up making the reasonable price of the Image Advanced 1400 treadmill actually much higher in the long run.

For those that like a few gadgets with their treadmill, this is certainly a good model to choose. Consumers appreciate the treadmill’s iFit® compatibility and the ten built-in workout programs. Features such as the power incline and quick speed control are easy to use, making the Image Advanced 1400 ideal for the average exerciser.

What We Say

For the nearly $800 price tag, there seems to be room for improvement in this latest offering from ICON Fitness. The Image Advanced 1400 does have a sleek style and look as well as a quiet running motor, but if you’re going to end up replacing the parts in a few months outside of the warranty, we’re just not sure that it’s worth your time. However, if you have the money to spend or know someone who can fix a treadmill, the Image Advanced 1400 treadmill is a great model with just enough gadgets to keep your workouts interesting.
